Addiction wallpapers by Vito Nesta for Texturae

Vito Nesta – Addiction

We can call them "the wallpaper of the memory"; in this way the memory of inhabited places retrace the path of the Pop Art, applying its principles in everyday objects that becames part of the domestic space (wallpaper with the dishes in the kitchen, lipsticks in the bathroom; robots in children's bedrooms).
Textures are everywhere, you just need to train your eyes to see them. You can find them in a landscape, in a facade of a building, in an old street market, in a texture of a bed sheet. In this way the textures can transform everyday objects and transport them into an amazing and surreal dimension.
Special and strange overlap, a mix of colors that create drawings into drawings,
style icons visible all over the wall; the wallpaper collections destroy the concept of the traditional wallpaper and transform them from a simple background in to a primary and decorative element. Vito Nesta plays with this elements giving to this objects a whole new personality.

"My ideas do not have a direct link with the POP artistic movement, my work comes from my romantic dreams, i take objects from my childhood memories or that run in to my mind and I rework them and I give them life with a different function. Since they are everyday object is a reference to popular culture, so in that sense we cand consider "Pop"

NOCE by Vito Nesta for Riva 1920

NOCE for Riva 1920 by Vito Nesta

Animated by a spirit of playful immagination, Vito Nesta creates for Riva 1920, NOCE: a stool entirely made of solid cedarwood. Interpreting the main theme of EXPO 2015, nutrition, Vito Nesta playfully observes this fruit through a "magnifying glass", as wanting to underline its beneficial properties.
Eventual cracks and fissures that can be found on the product, whether at the time of the purchase or afterwards, are to be considered entirely normal, being typical of solid wood. Or better, it's a distinguishing mark of quality of this kind of wood being in motion both in its aging and seasoning phase and following variations of the environmental conditions, in particular those pertaining to humidity in the air.

MBHome

MBHome was the first interior design project in which Vito Nesta was dedicated as an interior designer. This space is an attic located in the north of Bari (Corato) and after structural became an open space certainly more suited to the needs of the client, single. The numerous openings facing the verandas that surround the apartment, as well as offering a valuable view of the surrounding landscape, allowed to use the abundant natural light as the protagonist of the place. The need of the owner, also, was to live many household items with a more contemporary breath, so as to lighten the 'presence'. The forniture interventions have focused on the matching between existing classical elements and contemporary flashes of minimal flavor, such as Artemide and Floss' lamps, Veneziano's ceramics or the works of artists such as Gadaleta and Guastamacchia. The effect on the whole has allowed sunlight to be the soul of MBHome, creating natural play of light and shadows on objects and on the way to live them.
